Psalm 104:14
Are you cultivating "God-Is Sufficiency" in your life? Are you striving for self-sufficiency? Or are you trying to be "part of that world" you've been told is key to survival and "the good life?"
He causeth grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the use of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth,
Just a simple verse from the Psalms is enough for us…
When you search for “what does life need for survival,” you get several “scientific” responses. Probably the one you’d feel has the most relevance and authority is from NASA.
En basic, life needs food and water - and an environment, or habitat.
Who gives us environment? Who gives us water? Who gives us food?
Humans, Societies, Corporations might lay claim to those resources and then portion them out to people fairly or unfairly, according to the political and economic shitstems employed. Corporations, Governments and Individuals might manipulate those resources profit or for nefarious purpose.
But, Who gives us those things? Is it not God Who has made all these things available to us?
God gives us everything we need in order to sustain life. Right?
I’m sure most of you will agree with that point…
Yet, do we live our lives in submission and obedience to the Giver of the life sustaining things? Or do we live life in submission and obedience to those who (unfairly or fairly) parcel out that which comes from God the Giver?
Do we cultivate those things given us? Or do we ignore those tings, neglect those things, reject those things and chase after the things Babylon tells us will bring us to “the good life?”
